Covid-19 Pandemic veterinary procedures update

During the ongoing situation, our top priority is remaining open and continuing to provide excellent patient care, as we have throughout the pandemic. To do this, our vets and nurses have to work closely together in shifts, whilst wearing PPE. In order to safeguard their welfare and reduce the risk of test and trace disrupting our service, we are attempting to minimise the possibility of Covid-19 entering the hospital. We, therefore, have a number of procedures in place that are reviewed weekly, as the local and national situation evolves.

Lime Trees Veterinary Clinic – Cheadle, is open for limited services and we are aiming to open a fuller service from November 16th; we will keep everyone updated on this situation.

Appointments at Lime Trees Vets

In most cases, we are able to offer a remote appointment by providing video consultations. This will enable the vet to talk to you safely, see your pet on screen and discuss whether they can prescribe medication or arrange to see your pet at Lime Trees Veterinary Hospital – Meir Park. Video consultations save you time and are great for nervous pets.

Where you are asked to attend the hospital, strict rules on social distancing will apply.

You MUST let our client care team know if you or anyone in your household is experiencing any symptoms of Covid-19, self-isolating or has received a positive test.

When attending Lime Trees Veterinary Hospital, please message us via PetsApp to let us know you have arrived, what bay number you are in and which phone number you can be contacted on – this applies to booking in for an appointment and all other requests such as collecting medication, flea & wormers. A member of the client care team will then contact you to deal with your request. Alternatively, if you do not have PetsApp, please call us on 01782 385285.

If you are unable to collect medication, please speak to client care. If your pet is a Pet Plus Member, an added benefit is that medication can be posted to you at no extra charge. If you wish to become a Pet Plus Member, please message us via PetsApp, call and speak to client care, or simply join online by visiting our website: limetreesvets.co.uk and clicking the ‘PetPlusMember’ section.

Ordering Medication/Food & Booking Appointments

Our phone lines are currently very busy. Therefore, if you need to order repeat medication or food, please do so via PetsApp or by following this link: limetreesvets.co.uk/order-online/ to save your valuable time holding on the phone for our client care team to become free. We are asking where possible, please request appointments via PetsApp. Simply send our client care team a message and they will arrange this for you. For any emergency appointments, please continue to call us on 01782 385285.

How do I get PetsApp?

If you have a smartphone or tablet, we are asking all clients to please download ‘PetsApp’. PetsApp is an app which will allow you to send a message to client care directly without having to call us – this will save a lot of time for you as our phone lines are expectedly very busy. You can use PetsApp to:

  • Request an appointment

  • Request medication for your pet including flea and worming treatment

  • Have a video consultation with the Vet

  • Send us cute pics of your pets to make us smile!

You can get ‘PetsApp’ by visiting: limetreesvets.co.uk/register-for-petsapp/ and filling in the form – our client care team will then send you a link with your details pre-filled in. Alternatively, please visit the app store on your phone and search ‘PetsApp’. The positive feedback so far has exceeded our wildest dreams.
